Scenic Hill Elementary is more than a school, it’s a community. Scenic Hill’s educators not only teach academics but encourages its scholars to think about life beyond high school. The halls and classrooms are adorned with college-themed bulletin boards, pennants, and flags in hopes that the student body will work toward the goal of a college education. At the conclusion of morning messages, you will hear scholars and staff alike recite, “After high school comes college!” The school is now taking the initiative to make this dream become a reality for Scenic Hill alums.

 

During the 2021/2022 school year, the school began to think of ways they could turn their motto into a reality for Scenic Hill alum. The school formed a scholarship committee and staff pledged money to start a scholarship fund. Principal Harjeet Sandhu had this to say regarding the staff’s generosity, “I’m incredibly amazed by the generosity of our staff who are committed to providing our Scenic Hill alumni with an opportunity to attend college and the chance for a more hopeful future.” The committee’s goal is to offer multiple scholarships to deserving applicants.
